Repeat prescriptions are available where appropriate for those on long-term treatment. They are processed on our computerised system when authorised by a doctor. If you are ordering in person or over the phone please do so after 10am.
Alternatively you may be able to order online via the PatientAccess app - link at the top of this page.
You may also use other NHS-approved apps such as NHS app and MyGP app to order your repeat prescriptions.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Barbara Westhead is our Dispensary Lead. Together with Dispensary Assistant Sue Crayston, they ensure that your medication is ready for collection during our regular opening hours. If you wish to nominate another person to collect your medication, please ask for the appropriate form at reception, and complete for our files.
It would be very helpful if patients could advise our staff when ordering the prescription where they wish to collect it.

Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
